The McCoys at Cheltenham Racecourse

It was a pleasure to capture the atmosphere and events of the The McCoys at Cheltenham racecourse. The awards were held in the Centaur at Cheltenham to celebrate jump racing in the South-West. 450 people attended the event which focused on performances at Cheltenham, Warwick, Wincanton and Exeter and so recognised some of the main talents in jump racing, amongst the many owners, trainers, jockeys, stable staff and horses. Cheltenham Racing

Friday saw a return to Jumps at Cheltenham. Delighted to be working with the Jockey Club for a second season at Cheltenham Racecourse. My aim is to capture the Cheltenham racing with a behind the scenes feel of race day using documentary style imagery with a fine art feel. The new grandstand to be officially opened next month is superb with lots more viewing opportunities of the course and the Parade Ring.

I have really enjoyed working at Cheltenham racecourse this season, so was delighted to be asked by Ascot racecourse to work for them during Royal Ascot Week. Horse racing photography

Spent the day at Bangor-on-Dee races with trainer Chris Kellett. It was the second time out for Dounya’s Boy who did well with Dave Crosse on board. My first visit to Bangor-on-Dee – a beautiful racecourse – where you can see the whole of the racetrack despite the lack of a grandstand. As the light caught the hills behind the track it reminded me of Cheltenham.
